NEW OFFERING!! (Starting June 15th!)
A Vipassana Collective
(Insight Meditation Circle)
1st and 3rd Mondays at Legacy of the Rose
6-7pm
(All Levels of experience are welcome)
Our Invitation:
To gather a mindfulness community where Loving Kindness (Metta) is at the heart of our collective intention.
Let’s create an opportunity to sit together, open our hearts, breathe deeply and begin again.
Vipassana, or insight meditation, is a practice of mindful observation that helps us develop a deeper awareness of our thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. Through quiet observation and non-judgmental presence, we learn to respond to life with greater clarity, balance, and self-understanding. No prior meditation experience is needed—simply come as you are and learn the art of being present with yourself.
(Bring what you need to be comfortable: a mat, pillow, cushion, blanket, bolster, etc.)
Led by:
Ellie Danni, LCSW is a local therapist with 16 years of experience in mental health, who enjoys weaving mindfulness techniques into her sessions with clients. For years she has dabbled in meditation with a strong curiosity of Buddhist traditions. After attending her first silent meditation retreat earlier this year, this profound experience has fostered the desire to deepen her practice and establish a local Sangha.
Donna Hamilton, RDH, CYT 200 and Reiki Master is a student of Vipassana meditation taught in the S.N. Goenka tradition. She attended an intensive 10- day silent retreat at the Dhamma Vaddhana center in Jesup, Georgia in 2015 and continues the journey of mind/body exploration today through yoga, meditation and energy work.
