The Mountians Between Us-A Couples Retreat
The Mountains Between Us
Honoring What We’ve Overcome and Strengthening What Comes Next
Nestled in the heart of Highland County, Virginia, The Mountains Between Us is an intimate, all-inclusive weekend retreat for couples who are ready to step away from the demands of everyday life and put their relationship back at the center.
Even strong relationships can get buried beneath work, family, responsibilities, and the constant pressure to keep everything moving. This weekend offers something many couples rarely get: uninterrupted time to slow down, reconnect, and focus on each other.
This retreat is not about having a perfect relationship or spending the entire weekend talking about what is wrong. It is about remembering what brought you together, honoring everything you have already made it through, and becoming more intentional about what comes next.
What Your Weekend Includes
Throughout the retreat, couples will participate in guided group sessions and shared experiences designed to encourage meaningful conversation, deeper understanding, and genuine connection.
Attachment, Inner Wounding, and Relationships
Ashley Hallman is the founder of Legacy of the Rose, a nonprofit center for healing and community, and the owner of Transcendia Healing Services. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Ashley has spent more than a decade walking alongside individuals through life’s challenges.
Ashley and her husband, Eli, will share parts of their own journey through the trials and triumphs of marriage while guiding couples through an experience focused on attachment, inner wounding, and how our earlier experiences can show up in our relationships. Couples will have the opportunity to see one another through a different lens and connect with the parts of their partner that may need greater understanding, compassion, and support.
Connection Through Reiki and Meditation
Stacey and Mike will share their journey as a couple and the role Reiki has played in their healing and connection. They will guide couples through a meditation created to deepen connection with one another, with couples Reiki sessions also included in the weekend.
Couples Massage
Heart and Soul Massage School will provide massage experiences, giving couples an opportunity to slow down, relax, and receive care during the retreat.
Men’s and Women’s Connection Workshops
Couples will spend part of the weekend in separate men’s and women’s sessions.
The men’s workshop will explore leadership and what it truly means to lead within a healthy, connected relationship.
The women’s workshop will focus on how to remain connected to yourself without losing your identity within your relationship.
Group Connection and Time Together
There will be guided group sessions, couples activities, and plenty of time to enjoy one another without every moment being scheduled. Evenings will wind down with shared meals, drinks, conversation, and connection around the campfire.
